Happy Friday everyone! With the weekend ahead, make the best out of it. Do some outdoor activities, plan healthy meals, spend some time with your loved ones and have some fun! On my list I have: a picnic, a surprise party for a friend, some studying and lots of cooking and taking pictures!
Today’s post was inspired by a picture I saw months ago in which they served drinks in fruit shells. I had it on my mind since then and finally got to do it. It is a super easy and very cute way to serve drinks when meeting some friends (or in a romantic date!). I have to admit that I don’t love watermelon juice, but I do love eating the fruit. That’s why I prepared a peach-mango-strawberry smoothie and saved the watermelon fruit to have it as a snack, dessert or add it to a fruit salad.
1 portion = 1 glass, but the watermelon shell can hold more than that...so maybe you can share or serve less than what the pictures show.
For 1 litter of juice (4 glasses):
-4 cups of a mixture of frozen mangoes, peaches and strawberries
-3 tablespoons of sugar
-3 cups cold water
1. Cut the watermelon in half and empty it with the help of a spoon.
2. Add the frozen fruits, sugar and water in a blender and blend.
3. Serve each portion in a watermelon shell and enjoy!
